Johnson Park

On the banks of the Raritan River, this 478 acre park is extremely popular & filled with activity all year long. Named after the “Johnson” family, who founded the pharmaceutical firm “Johnson & Johnson” and donated the original 100 acres of land for the park. Everything from picnic groves and sports fields to a restored 18th century village (East Jersey Old Town Village) can be found in Johnson Park.

SHI Football Stadium

Rutgers, the Birthplace of College Football, began playing at the site of SHI Stadium on November 5, 1938. Located in Piscataway, acroos street from part of Johnson Park, the stadium expanded to a capacity of 41,500 in 1994 and to 52,454 in 2009.

Piscataway High School, because of its increasing number of students, now has 2 buildings, adjacent to each other, one for 9th & 10th grade and the other for 11th & 12th grade.

& YMCA

YMCA at the Pisc Comm Ctr is 83,000 sqft state-of-the-art bldg, has an aquatic center of 3 pools, fitness center, group exercise studios, training/coaching, gymnasium has 202 bleacher seats, child watch room, dance & art studios, café & Teen Center. The 2nd floor consists of an indoor track above full-sized basketball court. Outdoor Spray Park open during the summer months has a pirate theme that with 2 open flume water slides, 2 spray cannons, a deck geyser & a super splash bucket.

Piscataway Senior Center

Located next to JFK library in Piscataway, the Senior Center is a Community Focal Point where Adults 60 years old and over can come together for services and activities that reflect their experience, enhance their dignity, support their independence and encourage their participation in the center and the community.
